The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA)

The purpose of the BGSA is to give Black graduates an opportunity to use and improve their skills and learn more about graduate and educational opportunities. BGSA coordinates activities and opportunities of interest to graduate students.

Black Men Making a Difference (BMMAD)

BMMAD serves as an organization of support for the Black male students on campus. Events are scheduled for bringing the young men and the campus community together.

Black Student Union (BSU)

The mission of BSU is to serve Black students and the broader WSU student body in exploring the heritage, values, and contributions of Blacks. BSU coordinates and sponsors educational, cultural and traditional events for the benefit of WSU.

Black Women’s Caucus (BWC)

The purpose of BWC is to serve as an instrument through which Black women are able to express their concerns about issues they face globally and locally.

African Diaspora Association (ADA)

The mission of the ADA is to establish a network of African Students on the WSU Campus, broaden Awareness of the African culture to the WSU community, and create a safe space that can promote social interaction amongst African students that may be at WSU. This organization aims to cultivate, inspire, and augment WSU's student body for the purpose of not only the community but global unity. The ADA works to implement customs and traditions of all African nations and aims for an alliance of African students on campus.

NPHC

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

The NPHC is currently composed of nine historically Black National Greek letter sororities and fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Sigma Gamma Rho, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings, and shows.
