Statement of Support for All Students
Updated: February 2025
As a coalition of student-serving centers, we support human dignity and respect for all students. Our work exists to hold spaces of belonging, build bridges, and to promote awareness through education. Together, we are stronger, and we remain committed to building intersectional alliances that uplift the entire WSU community.
The mission of Student Affairs is ‘For all students, every day’ and our work is guided by these values:
- Access – We strive to ensure equitable availability of educational resources, opportunities, and support services; removing barriers so all students can succeed.
- Authentic Care and Connection – We build meaningful relationships based on genuine empathy and dedication to individual and collective well-being.
- Excellence and Innovation – We deliver creative results that go beyond what is anticipated.
- Inclusion– We commit to fostering environments that welcome diverse perspectives and backgrounds and actively empower individuals.
- Professional and Personal Development – We provide development and educational opportunities to cultivate leadership, civic responsibility, and mutual respect.
With these values, we stand in solidarity with all students and the broader campus community.
We welcome you to reach out to any of our student centers or the resources below for support. We encourage our campus community to continue cultivating an environment built on mutual respect and solidarity. No one is alone. We are and will remain a community for everyone.
